For the first time since 1989, with this coach a composition of Bündner founders train was on tour with guests, together with C.32. of 1889 and F4004 of 1896. Club 1889 had arranged for an extra tour for the volunteers and sponsors which will surely be remembered for a long time.
For the coffee-stop at Bergün the team of the train museum Albula made special efforts, RhB director Renato Fasciati honoured the activities of the volunteers in an appropriate speech at Alvaneu and the Hotel Grischuna at Filisur pampered the guests with a three-course menu.

]]>]]> Wagon brilliance under the Engadin mountain sun https://club1889.ch/depotreport4/detailview/page/78475 Fri, 14 Aug 2020 02:01:15 +0200 29a64b92ab0e6e9b07716fecb296d55b News Wagen C 66 Last Saturday our C66 for the first time after five years of inside and outside restoration was allowed to enjoy the Engadin mountain sun again. For the works photo the wagon was pulled by our Heidi into the freight handling center at Samedan and was professionally photographed there. 
Last Wednesday the project leaders took the chance and arranged for a trial run from Samedan to Zernez. Some subsequent improvements are still necessary, however, the Samedan Group are confident that the inauguration trip together with our volunteers and sponsors can take place in autumn – provided the wagon will pass the technical assessment at the Central workshop Landquart by then.
